Sib Reunion: Friday Night Stories

When the Linville sibs get together for a reunion, their favorite activity is eating. (Wait until the post about Sunday). The second favorite is sitting around comfortably telling stories. This year they had an audience in cousin Joe. Don and Larry found something really funny.

Norm waves his camera at a sister- in- law and thinks about taking a picture of the gabfest.

Roy and Maxine enjoyed dinner, but Roy keeps thinking about his knee surgery scheduled for Monday. (It did turn out well, we have heard.)

Joe and Harold are laughing at the same story that amused Don and Larry, we think. This was Joe's first exposure to so many cousins at once and he fit right in; he is one of the family.

Walt relaxed in his recliner a lot of time this weekend. On Friday night he seemed well but he had an episode on Saturday that sent him to the emergency clinic for tests. All turned out well and as of Monday afternoon, he was feeling better.

When the Linville sibs get together, the spouses, or Outlaws, have to amuse themselves some how. Kay checks a niece's blog on her Blackberry.

Jan was trying to show Norm a photo on her camera when he lost it. So she patiently looked for it again.

Dee spent a lot of time helping Carol be our hostess. She became queen of the kitchen crew. She also knows a lot of stories about folks back home.

Carol, thank you for letting us all invade your house for a weekend. Everyone had a great time and we are sorry you and Walt had to be elsewhere on Saturday.

This home on Mitchell Ave. has sheltered not only Carol and Walt's family, but countless friends and family members through the years. It is a very hospitable place.

Saturday, some of the Outlaws went shopping (Maxine went with them) and some of the sibs sat on the deck all morning, telling more stories. Some took Joe to the airport for his afternoon flight to Tulsa. Everyone waited for word that Walt was coming home and finally he made it, early in the evening. We called it an early night and planned to meet for church the next morning.
