Sib Reunion: Friday night dinner

The first event of the sibling reunion was an Italian Dinner on Friday night, cooked and served by Walt & Carol's daughter Shirley, Shirley's daughter Shelly & Joel and their children, and Shirley's son David and Jessica. We had formal menus, and olive oil dipping sauce for our bread. We started with fruit compote, followed by cesar salad, then the chicken fettuccine alfredo entree with green beans, and a dessert of kahlua cake with raspberries. It was all quite elegant and delicious. Somehow all the sibs and cousin Joe just fit into the dining room!
Part of the kitchen crew: Shirley, daughter Shelly and grand- daughter Brinley, who was an excellent waitress. (Excuse me, server!)

Shelly's oldest son Trevor is at junior level in high school. Home schooled, he has won several honors at Texas state musical conventions and he sang three songs for us during dinner, in German and Italian no less. Trevor plans to study Russian next year.

Shirley intro-duced her husband, Larry Parks, to the whole clan at this party and he survived in good shape.

Shelley and Joel and their three: Austin, Trevor and Brinley.

Walt's back yard is neat and the deck and room addition to their house makes a wonderfully comfortable gathering spot.
